Good Food

I found these recipes on the web. I have tried both of them and they are very good. Yummy, yummy in my tummy :)

Peanut Butter Fudge
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Easiest-Peanut-Butter-Fudge/Detail.aspx

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
2 1/4 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

Directions
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and milk. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Pour over confectioners' sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat until smooth; pour into an 8x8 inch dish. Chill until firm and cut into squares.

Egg Bagels
http://www.bagelrecipes.net/egg-bagels.html

Ingredients
4 medium eggs.
2 packets of yeast. (Equal to 2 tablespoons)
8 cups of flour.
2 cups of warm water.
¼ cup of salad oil.
1 tablespoon of salt.
1 tablespoon of sugar

Directions
Mix together all of the ingredients, then knead for about ten minutes. (If you have a Kitchen Aid you can knead the dough in it buy using the bread hook attachment) Place the mixture in a greased bowl; then cover and allow rise in warm spot for twenty minutes. Once risen, punch down and divide into 30 pieces. Allow to rise for fifteen minutes. Drop bagels in boiling water and boil for about three minutes, turning once. Place on greased sheet and brush on egg yolk glaze. (I don't have a brush so I didn't do that part and it came out fine.)
Bake at 450°F for 20-25 minutes.
****I suggest that once the bagels are cool you split them, not all the way and then store them in the fridge or freezer.****

Enjoy!!!!!!!!

Just Because

I was a little bored today, since I'm having to spend the day in bed. But I saw this on a friends Facebook and thought it looked cute. So here they are our children. :)

All The Girls With The Crimson Lips

SAY CLEVELAND ROCKS!!! This weekend was a whirl wind trip up to Cleveland, Ohio to visit with Benjamin, Janelle, and Julie. Of course since it was Julie's blessing weekend Janelle's family drove in from Connecticut (15 hrs), and good friends Dave and Erin came up from Cincinnati (that's a 5 hour drive). I tell ya that little girl Julie has us all wrapped around her little finger. We all traveled to see her. For Dave, Erin, Fred and I it was the first time meeting Julie. And she is very cute. She is interactive, and is learning how to smile. She also has these chipmunk cheeks that are absolutely adorable.
In addition to seeing Julie it was nice to see Janelle's family. I haven't seen them in over two years. Clayton, Janelle's younger brother, is now about 5 foot 10. At the wedding he was probably 5'5". But he is sure turning out to be a wonderful young man. Chuck and Joyce were there and always are fun to have around. Candice is off in Utah for school and wasn't able to come. :(
I wish we could have spent more time up there but to due work schedules we (Mom, Dad, Eli, Fred, and I) went up Saturday morning, and came home Sunday afternoon. But it was most certainly worth it. To see all the family and it have the chance to celebrate Julie. I can't wait to see them all again in the fall!
