Today was a fun day. Fred and I slept in and skipped playing Racquetball so we could spend all of our energy at the Kentucky Kingdom-Six Flags. We went with my parents (Brian and Darcy), little brother (Eli) and nephew (Brandon). What prompted this trip was Brandon. He is up visiting my parents for the week and they wanted to do something special and fun for him. And since we have a six flags so close mom and dad decided it would be a good place to go. I love spending time with my family and I don't get to spend nearly enough time with my nephew so I wanted to join them of course. And as luck would have it Fred had to take the day off work so he could do his sleep study. But he didn't have to be at the hospital until 8:30pm. So we bought season passes (they were on sale) and went to the park with everyone else.
Once we got in the park we had to pick were to start. Since we had Brandon with us we wanted to find some rides he could go on. Brandon is only five (nearly six) and only three feet tall so it limited the rides he could go on. We did find the kids section that had a lot of what was available for kids Brandon's size. We rode some of those as a family then we decided to split up. Since Fred likes roller coasters he took Eli to go ride the thrill rides, and I took Brandon to some more of the smaller rides. Thinking about it now I'm not sure where Mom and Dad went. Oh well some things I don't need to know.
Brandon had seen these cars and really wanted to try them out, and boy did he have fun. And it was pretty funny watching him ride. These cars whipped around the corner so fast that Brandon
would slide from one side of the car to the other. The first time it happened it caught him off guard but after that he thought that was the best part.
Brandon also spent about 30 minutes in an indoor play house. It had a ton of soft balls, cannons, shooters, and even a volcano that the balls shot out of every 10 minutes. It was a fun place, for the both of us.
After that we rejoined the rest of the family for snacks and some more family rides. It took some coaxing but somehow Fred got Brandon to go on a roller coaster with him and Eli. It was Brandon's first roller coaster and he went on it three times total.
We also went on a water raft ride were Fred, Mom, Brandon, and myself all got very, very wet. It wasn't long after that we were all beat and headed for home but it was quite the day. It was
a lot of fun and well worth saving the energy for ;)

I would really like to know why Eli is wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap.
